A LITTLE LANGUAGE FOR REAL LIFE

Bhagavad Gita · Hindi

One verse. Hear it. Understand it. Carry it into your day.

Chapter 1, verse 1. “Dhritarashtra said: On the field of dharma, the field of the Kurus, gathered together and eager to fight, what did my people and the Pandavas do, Sanjaya?”

The blind king asks Sanjaya, who can see the distant battlefield, what happened. The whole Gita is Sanjaya’s answer. Calling his own sons “mine” and the others “the Pandavas” already shows the division in the family.
